Processing Operator - 2nd Shift

  • Hours: 2nd shift hours are 2:50pm - 10:50 pm Monday - Friday
  • Salary: $12.50 /hour

  • Operate all machinery following safety procedures such as tag-outs.
  • Coordinate shift change over with Supervisor to assure done timely and smoothly and communicate with next Shift Operator.
  • Clean equipment and utensils when not in use and for the next shift.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
  • Complete all job related paperwork and documents.
  • Train new employees on processing machine operator operating procedures.
  • Understand all valves, switches and safety mechanisms.
  • Maintain confidentiality with Waymouth Farms information and procedures.
  • Operate equipment only when properly guarded. Ensures all safety procedures are being followed, including using lockout procedure correctly.
  • Perform job and cleaning duties within established safety guidelines.
  • Wear all required safety clothing (shoes, back belts, gloves, Etc.)
  • Follows correct GMP procedures.
  • Has been trained on organic compliance requirements on a yearly basis and follows procedures.
  • Meets or exceeds all productivity standards.
  • Records all pertinent performance information (lbs./cases produced, material usage, etc.)
  • Measures ingredients using scales to obtain proper coating application, mix, Etc.
  • Perform other tasks as required by Supervisor.
  • Keep work area clean and uncluttered.
  • Notify Supervisor immediately if any product or equipment problems.
  • Follows correct lockout procedure when machine needs maintenance work or cleaning.
  • Oversee and perform when needed, all line functions.
  • Communicate all machine problems, quality variations, and other operational problems to the Supervisor on a timely basis.
  • Responsible for working area

  • Deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
  • Work flexible hours to meet production needs
  • Responsible for product quality and to meet productivity standards
  • Work in a fast paced environment.
  • Interact with other departments in a positive manner


  • Able to communicate, read and have good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Food Processing Experience in a production facility
  • Basic math skills and use of a calculator.
  • Ability to understand and follow established standards and procedures.
  • Able to read and follow established recipes.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Able to cooperate with all Supervisory personnel, other shift operators and follow instructions as given.
  • Able to use scales to weigh ingredients and seasoning.
  • Able to operate hand and powered hand trucks.
  • Able to operate weigh scale jack and scales.
  • Able to perform the hand mixing which required vigorous pulling and pushing.
  • Can perform independently.
  • Able to work extra hours and weekends as necessary.
  • Previous production experience
